Capabilities Therapy Services

Our Speech Therapy Associate

In addition to offering physical and occupational therapy services, Capabilities Therapy Services is associated with a speech-language pathologist. We share our office space with her so that patients can get onsite speech therapy to address delayed language skills, articulation problems, pragmatic language difficulty, and feeding/swallowing dysfunction.

Why Choose Us

The pediatric therapists at our clinic focus on helping children develop the skills they need to grow into functional, independent adults. Physical impairment, injuries, and a host of other issues can hamper a child’s ability to perform common tasks or progress normally through social or cognitive development stages. The longer a child goes without learning these skills, the more the problem compounds as the child ages—which makes the skills of a pediatric therapist a critical step in the development of a child. Our therapists are highly trained and committed to coming alongside a child to help them reach their potential. We understand what a critical role the parents/caregivers play in a child's life, so we use a family-centered approach to guide treatment.

See the Difference

When working with children, our therapists incorporate play into practice to motivate them and reduce any anxiety or fears they might feel toward therapy. Play can involve games, toys, puzzles, songs, or physical exercises. In all cases, the goal of pediatric therapy is not only to help children adequately progress but to challenge them appropriately, helping to build self-esteem and confidence when it comes to their capabilities and aptitude.
